Why did the patient come to the orthodontist?

For aesthetic and functional reasons, on the recommendation of the dentist to correct the occlusion prior to prosthetic work. The case was suitable for orthognathic surgery because of the scheletal discrepancie, but we decided together with the patient to solve the case non-surgically.

The advantage of orthodontic treatment with Invisalign in this case was:

• Precise calculation of the space required for dental alignment and correction of interincisal lines using Align Technology software, which allows 3D simulation of the treatment plan
• Controlled expansion of the upper arch to correct dental arch discrepancy
• Correction of dental compensations in the frontal area through optimal root control and low and precise orthodontic forces
• Improved facial appearance and bite correction in less time than fixed appliance treatment and with greater precision.
