Why did the patient come to the orthodontist?

'The incisor is too far back'.

Anterior crossbite is considered an orthodontic emergency. If left untreated, the anomaly does not tend to spontaneously improve, but instead worsens, with repercussions on the entire dento-maxillary apparatus.

Orthodontic treatment has been achieved:

• Correction of the anterior crossbite (bringing the upper lateral incisor into the correct position)
• Dental alignment
• Coordination of dental arches.
