STEP 1<\/div>

The initial orthodontic consultation<\/span><\/h3><\/div>
During the first consultation we get to know each other, listen carefully to your wishes, discuss on a general level what an orthodontic treatment plan entails.<\/p>

This is followed by careful examination of posture, face, mouth and teeth. Depending on the case, the orthodontist recommends certain investigations, such as: orthodontic dental and facial photographs, orthodontic radiographs, or an interdisciplinary consultation with another specialist. Depending on the case, this may be an ENT doctor, periodontist, prosthodontist, osteopath, physiotherapist or speech therapist.<\/div><\/header><\/div><\/div>

STEP 2<\/div>

Diagnostic records<\/span><\/h3><\/div>

At this stage, we have complete information for a treatment plan tailored to your needs. We get to the stage where we have a relaxed discussion about the causes of the problems and what the possibilities are to treat them. We can now recommend treatment options and orthodontic appliances suited for your case. We explain exactly what the recommended orthodontic treatment entails: cost, duration, maintenance.<\/p>

STEP 4<\/div>

Applying of orthodontic devices (braces, aligners etc)<\/span><\/h3><\/div>
Dental appliance fitting is a non-invasive and painless procedure. The operation does not require anaesthesia and takes between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the type of the orthodontic appliance we need to install.<\/p>

The appliance of braces, invisible aligners or other orthodontic devices are followed by a briefing session, where the doctor makes sure you have all the information you need about how to wear your orthodontic appliance, maintaining proper dental hygiene and some dietary rules for the time you will be wearing braces,aligners etc.<\/div><\/header><\/div><\/div>

STEP 5<\/div>

Regular activities and consultations<\/span><\/h3><\/div>
Activation of your orthodontic appliance is carried out at regular appointments at a time set by the orthodontist.

STEP 6<\/div>

Orthodontic retainers stage<\/span><\/h3><\/div>
Retainers are devices that are applied after an orthodontic appliance is removed. The aim is to ensure that the position of the teeth is maintained in the long term. The recommended length of time to wear them varies depending on the condition being treated.

- Fixed retainers are cemented to the lingual face. They are comfortable, but require rigorous hygiene and cannot be removed by the patient.

- Mobile retainers are made in the laboratory and generally must be worn at night. They can be removed by the patient.<\/div><\/header><\/div><\/div>
